While we may get lazy at night in cleaning or washing our faces/skins before we sleep, it’s the best time to give the skin a chance to repair itself so you can wake up with flawless skin.

1. Remove all that makeup!
Yes, we know you have heard it before, but do you always remove all your makeup before you go to bed? Sleeping with makeup on your face will clog up your pores and it will cause acne and blemishes. You can’t even think of waking up to glowing skin, if you went to bed with your makeup still on.
2. Exfoliate regularly
Regular exfoliation is one of the keys to glowing clear skin; it removes dead skin cells from the surface of your skin and it will help to keep the pores in your skin clear. How often you exfoliate will depend on your own skin type, but usually, three times a week will be enough. Exfoliating your skin should make it feel soft and smooth, not sore. If your skin starts to get red and sore, you are exfoliating too much.
3. Wash your face both in the morning and at night
According to one survey, only around fifty percent of women actually wash their face often enough. Wash your face at night, to remove any makeup residue that may be left, and first thing in the morning, to clean up any excess oil and sweat that may have accumulated on your skin overnight. 7. Use a moisturiser every night

Select a high quality moisturiser that has been formulated for your skin type and, using about half a teaspoon, gently massage the moisturiser into the face and neck and then leave it on overnight.
8. Use an overnight face mask a few times a week
Once, or twice a week, you can skip your regular skin scare routine and replace it with a deep penetrating overnight face mask. When you sleep at night, your skin goes through a phase of cellular repair, so it is more receptive to the ingredients that are in an overnight mask. Just thoroughly cleanse your face first and then slather on the face mask and you will wake up with wonderfully soft and hydrated skin.
9. Go to bed earlier
This is another one of those pieces of advice that you might have read a million times before, but you really do need your beauty sleep. Get your eight hours of sleep every night and your skin won’t look so dull and tired. It will also give more time for your moisturiser, face mask, or oil, to do their job properly.
10. Try to sleep on your back
Sleeping on your back will help stop your face creasing up and rubbing on your pillow, which will prevent redness in the mornings and it could also help stop lines and wrinkles forming.
