Factual Pursuit of Truth for Progress
Presidential aspirant, Prince Adewole Adebayo, says there are no similarities whatsoever between the late MKO Abiola and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential hopeful made this known in a tweet on Tuesday.
Recall that Governor Bello had appointed Hafsat Abiola-Costel, daughter of the presumed winner of the 1993 presidential election as Director-General of his campaign organisation.
The human rights lawyer, in one of her first outings, said her father shared some qualities with her principal.
However, Adebayo, who idolises the late businessman and philanthropist, asked the rationale behind such a comparison with a “clown”.
Listing MKO Abiola’s attributes, he wrote “For I knew MKO Abiola personally, let me remind my peers: MKO was Africa’s Pillar of Sports, Mandela’s Hero, Castro’s buddy, Global Black Icon, President of presidents, Midas of Money, Accountancy Genius, Borderless Tycoon, SDP Candidate, Martyr of Democracy!”
Tundun Abiola, another daughter of the late politician, had criticised her half-sister for using their father’s name to market Governor Bello.
