Keeping a clean house won’t seem such a hard work if you make the slightest effort to adopt tidy habits of people who have stunning clean homes. Just follow these simple nine steps to help you achieve your wish for a nicely super clean sweet home.
#1. Make Your Bed
Dressing your bed before you go out of your room will definitely set you up for a good day. In case you haven’t noticed, the bed stands out a soon as one enters a bed room, so even if the rest of the room isn’t picture-perfect, a neat bed instantly makes the whole space look tidy enough.
#2. Use Baskets To Organize Things
This is where a ‘place for everything’ and ‘everything in its place’ comes into .. Keep cute baskets at some positions in the house to enable you corral your things, also add shelves to hold bigger objects. Don’t fling and cluster cloths, rags, socks all over the place because it’s a huge mess.
#3. ‘Clean’ As You Go
This drastically makes it easier to maintain a clean home; if you wipe out the mess you made on the floor or table immediately, the bulk of the work will be reduced. You can dramatically minimize your mess by cleaning as you go. If you rinse the cutting board while the pasta is boiling or start loading the dishwasher while the chicken is baking, the bulk of the work will be done by the time you serve dinner.
#4. Never Go To Sleep With Dirty Kitchen
Resist the urge to go straight to bed or relax for a night movie after a big meal. Take care of any and all kitchen cleanup that night; wash the dishes, wipe down counters, etc. Not only will the mess harden and become smelly by morning, you will have to spend some precious time cleaning up what you neglected the night before.

#5. Put Away Clothes From the Day
As tempting as it is to drop your clothes on the floor after a long day’s work before slipping into your sweats, tidy people take the time to fold, hang, or place them in the hamper, as necessary. Do this, and your clothes and floor will both look better for it.
#6. Do a Load of Laundry Every Day
Washing clothes on a regular schedule keeps the dirty pile from becoming overwhelming (not to mention, ensures that you’ll never run out of clean underpants). Those with big families prefer doing it every morning, but if you live alone, doing laundry a couple of predetermined days a week should suffice.
#7. Don’t Procrastinate
Unpack groceries purchases from the market or delivered box and put the contents in its rightful places; the refrigerator, cupboard etc. The longer you wait, the harder they become to deal with.
#8. Plan Ahead
Planning ahead of what needs to be done around the house the next day helps you kick start on it first thing especial the first one on top of the to-do-list; what cleaning products you need to restock for cleaning the bathroom, and the entire house. Oh! don’t forget the refrigerators.
#9. Open Doors Or Windows To Air Your Home
It helps to throw open the front and the back door or windows to air out the house every day, even just for a few minutes. Sherry Petersik, who, along with her husband, wrote the upcoming book Lovable Livable Home says: “It helps to fight off stale air—or any random lingering odors from dinner—and it makes the house feel fresh and breezy.”
