Tracy Ellis Ross hosting the American Music Awards this year is not something anyone would forget in a hurry.
Tracee Ellis Ross’ AMAs 2018 fashion looks has got everyone hyped, especially people in the black community. This is because she featured black designers in all her looks to host the American Music Awards. The blackish star actually hosted the event for the second time around. She sported different looks but the one that got our attention was the dress that was clearly made from Ankara fabric.
The Lavie By CK Dress
Take a good look at the dress. The Bell sleeves, the double tiered fishtail, are we the only one who thinks there’s something Nigerian about this style? Also, her cornrows complemented the outfit perfectly. If her goal was to channel African princess vibes, she certainly nailed it. And if you didn’t know, the designer of the dress is actually Cameroonian.
The dress was paired with Stuart Neitzman earrings and pumps.
See some of her other looks below
The Gold CD Greene Dress With Mirrored Panels
She was a vision and then some in this beautiful floor length dress with her hair packed nicely into a bun.
The Tulle Dress From Off White aka Virgil Abloh
We also love this look which reminds us a bit of a ballerina and Disney princess at the same time. She wore no accessories with this and we agree that none was needed. Again she wore this with Louboutin pumps.
The Blush Pink Pantsuit By Pyer Moss
She paired this nicely with black Louboutin pumps and a Jacob & Co. choker for her pre-show red carpet walk.
The Balmain Tuxedo Dress
She paired the beautiful sequinned dress with drop earrings from Amwaj jewellry and Louboutin pumps.
Tracee Ellis Ross’ AMAs 2018 fashion choices certainly put racial inclusivity in front and we couldn’t be prouder. You Go Girl! #Blacklivesmatter
