Aminé Returns Home for New “Woodlawn” Music Video
Aminé returns with his latest music video from his standout sophomore album Limbo, returning to his hometown of Portland, Oregon and his Woodlawn Park neighborhood for the new “Woodlawn” visual. The offering was created in collaboration with Psycho Films and directed by Adam Daniel and Jack Begert — it follows the rapper cruising in different dune buggies on west coast beaches to hanging out with friends in a Portland Trailblazers-themed basement.
The new video comes just weeks after Aminé performed the track alongside “Burden” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he took to the skies and rapped in a hot air balloon some 2,000 feet above ground while paying tribute to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin and more. Not only does he shout out Kobe Bryant in the song, but Aminé shows off a new tattoo in honor of the fallen NBA legend.
Since releasing Limbo, which debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 chart, Aminé has kept busy through a number of high-profile features and subsequent releases. He teamed up with Disclosure for “My High” and surprised fans by tapping Empire of the Sun’s Luke Steele for their “Hello” single. “Woodlawn” follows his Wes Anderson-inspired “Compensating” music video featuring Young Thug and the Rihanna-inspired “Riri.”
