Hon Kayode Amusan, former two term federal lawmaker representing Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode and Odeda local governments now aspiring for the seat of Ogun Central senatorial district in 2019 has reiterated his commitment to using his ambition to improve on quality of life of people living across the six local governments of the senatorial district.
Kayode Amusan reiterated this commitment while rounding off his familiarization tour to his homestead local government, Odeda and Obafemi-Owode local government recently.
He added that as a former two-term federal lawmaker, he has the requisite experience that could further be used to deploy instrument of lawmaking towards facilitating greater development in terms of people-oriented projects to the senatorial district.
Hon Amusan explained that “my good antecedents as a former two-term federal lawmaker is there for people to see. My salaries for the eight years were donated to empower the people and I am happy that many of those who benefited from these gestures are doing fine on their own till today”.
“I am also promising that if you give me this privilege, I will donate my four-year salaries for the uplift of people of the senatorial district”. I will make myself accessible to you all and I can assure you that it is a representation that will bring so much comfort, joy and prosperity to people of Ogun central senatorial district”.
Receiving the senatorial aspirant at their respective local governments, Hon Yinusa and Hon. Hammed Olokodana, Chairmen of PDP in Odeda and Obafemi-Owode local governments respectively described Hon Amusan as a round peg in a round hole saying that as a politician with passion for selfless service coupled with his unbeatable records while he was at the House of Representatives, he remains the best candidate of the party for the senatorial seat during next year election.
They have therefore resolved to work with other party faithful in their local governments to ensure that Amusan clinches the party’s ticket during the primaries and eventually win the senatorial election for the party during the general elections.
Meanwhile, Hon Amusan at the state party secretariat has also picked his nomination form for Ogun central senatorial seat with a pledge never to renege on all he had promised to do during his consultations with party members across the six local governments of the senatorial district.
PDP leaders who accompanied Kayode Amusan from the six local governments included Chief Ogunjimi, Elder Zaccheus Oyekunle, Alhaji Anifowose, Alh Yinusa, Alhaji Odejimi, Hon Tope Sorinola among others.
