The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Monday announced that the strike action embarked upon by its members is to be extended for another two months.
This is after the expiration of the one month warning strike in protest.
This action which started Feb 14, 2022 has government-owned universities closed down across the country.
ASUU made the decision at a prolonged meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC).
The meeting held at the union’s national secretariat at the University of Abuja started on Sunday and ended early Monday morning.
The union accused the Nigerian government of insensitivity and peddling lies.
