Entertainment celebrity couple Banky W and Adesua Etomi have opened up on their struggle with infertility before welcoming their son Zaiah a few months ago. The Nollywood sweethearts opened up on their infertility journey during the Easter Sunday Service at The Water Brook Church.
Adesua shared that 11 months into their marriage they made a decision to opt for IVF so they could quickly have their kids and get back to work. The IVF was successful and she became pregnant with twins. She explained that towards the end of the first trimester, a routine scan showed that the babies had no heartbeat and by the next week, the embryos were decaying so she had to undergo an evacuation.
Adesua Etomi and Banky W described the period as agonizing and painful which became even more difficult with constant trolling online. The couple went on to undergo two IVF procedures after the first one and even considered surrogacy but later decided against it. However, in May of 2020, during the Hallelujah challenge, Adesua Etomi conceived, and they welcomed their son in January 2021.
