The BRIT Awards was back with a bang tonight, to hand gongs out to the biggest names in music from across the UK and beyond.

Huge stars from the UK and US gathered together in London for the star-studded ceremony which saw Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards debut their baby bumps days after sharing their pregnancy news, an incredible performance from Sir Elton John and Olly Alexander of Years & Years and of course, plenty of savage jokes from host Jack Whitehall.

After an iconic night of history making victories and epic performances, here’s a full list of winners…

This year’s Brit Awards was held in front of a crowd of 4,000 people at London’s O2 Arena as part of the Government’s live event pilot scheme.

Organisers gave 2,500 tickets to people working on the front line of the pandemic from the Greater London area.

Audience members attending the indoor ceremony were not socially distanced or required to wear face coverings once seated. Attendees required a negative result from a lateral flow test to gain entry, and were also requested to contribute PCR tests as part of the research programme.

The O2 Arena implemented coronavirus measures including air purification technology, hand sanitiser stations and a new ventilation system.

The arena, owned by AEG, was converted into an NHS training facility in April 2020 to supply staff to the Nightingale hospitals.

Steve Sayer, general manager of the O2 Arena, said the event would be an “incredibly important milestone” on the road to live music returning with full capacity audiences.
