The online hacking network known as “Anonymous” has once again claimed responsibility for shutting down the Central Bank of Nigeria’s website.

The group retweeted a tweet by one of its affiliates, @loriansynaro, which reads;
“#Anonymous #OpNigeria #EndSARS #EndSarsNow. The Nigerian central bank website has been taken #Offline. https://cbn.gov.ng | TANGO DOWN.”
After the tweet, the website of the CBN displayed the message;
500 – Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.”
This comes after the same Anonymous group hacked the Twitter account of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission that same Friday threating to reveal the government’s secrets.
The online network has declared its support for the #EndSARS #EndSWAT protest going on in Nigeria right now, telling the government to respond to the needs of its citizens.
The CBN has so far not issued a statement about this claims.
