Singer and songwriter, D’banj has sued his sexual assault accuser, Seyitan Babatayo to the sum of N1.5 billion.
Recall that in an initial lawsuit, the singer had demanded an apology from Seyitan and the sum of N100 million over what was termed a “defamation of character.”
In a new lawsuit, the singer through his lawyers, Mike Ozekhome Chambers, has demanded the sum of N1.5 billion from Seyitan.
The breakdown demands N1 billion in damages “over the untold embarrassment, derision, public ridicule, odium, obloguy, marital disharmony, mental agony and psychological trauma which the Defendants’ tweets and publication have caused the claimant.”
N500 million was demanded as “aggravated, puniitive, and exemplary damages.”
The suit also demands “a letter of unreserved apology for the offensive tweets and posts” from Ms Babatayo.

The singer’s lawyers also requested that the court grant “an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendant from further publishing, tweeting or posting offensive libelous statements.”
