–Two Tablespoon of olive oil or vegetable oil, as a matter of choice.
–Two medium-sized onions which should be cut into four equal halves and the layers separated.

–Five glasses of cold water.

To get this chicken noodle soup going, take a clean pot and add the two tablespoons of oil. When the oil is hot, first add the carrots as they take some time to cook, then add the onion while stirring. Add the celery and stir until it is half-cooked. Be careful not to over-cook the vegetables as the boiling soup will cook it even further and this can cause the vegetables to melt.

Add the chicken to the pot, along with the Thyme and mix together with vegetables. If you are wondering whether to use fresh Thyme for more flavour then you can do so, but you should also remember that Thyme is among those few herbs that retain their original taste even in their dried form. So you can use either form of Thyme.
