Ex-Beauty Queen Ezinne Akudo And Cee-C Respond To Annie Idibia’s . On Feminism

Well, not everyone understands feminism, so when Annie Idibia shared her thoughts during an interview with 234Star, fans weren’t too surprised. When asked if she identifies as a feminist, she said: “I believe women deserve equal rights, but I am not a feminist because a man is king and a woman is a queen and shouldn’t be a king”.

Although fans weren’t exactly surprised by her comments, the interview started a conversation regardless, leading to Ezinne Akudo and Cee-C sharing their thoughts and schooling Annie on what feminism stands for. Former Miss Nigeria, Ezinne thinks that rejecting feminism, a movement for the liberation of women, means that people  like Annie, Tiwa and Cuppy have chosen to turn the other cheek to the discrimination women of all classes face in their lives.

Interestingly, former BBNaija contestant Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as King Cee-C by her fans also responded to Annie’s comments. In addition to sharing Ezinne’s post on her Instagram story, she also said “King Cee-C, and this has absolutely nothing to do with being a feminist, tho I’m proudly one.”

Well, the tenets of feminism truly has nothing to do with the king/queen title. But do you smell shade or was Cee-C justified with her comments? Let us know in the comments section.
