In a report made by TheNation, five suspects who are believed to be responsible for raping the 11-year-old Lagos girl on Thursday have been nabbed.
Per the report, the victim who is now dead is identified as Favour Okechukwu. She was gang-raped to death with the incident occurring at the Power Line area of Ejigbo community.
Residents who saw the lifeless body of the little girl had no option than to report the case to policemen at the Ejigbo Police Station.
After the report was made, five men have been arrested, and these five men include the owner of the shack where the body was discovered.
Speaking with TheNation, the President, International Charitable Initiative for Girl Child and Women Development Foundation (ICI-WODEF), Mrs Helen Ibeji stated that the little girl came back from school on Wednesday and was asked by her mother to buy a carton of sausages, and that was the last time the girl was seen alive.
So far, officials of the Lagos State DNA & Forensic Centre (LSD&FC) have taken the girl’s lifeless body for forensic analysis.
