The CEO of Grazee Stitches, Grace Ibironke Ojo ended the year on a high note, as she has been honoured with the 2015 Charity Focused Fashion Designer Award.
The Award, which is coordinated by Amb. Chris Odey is an accolade for celebrities, individuals and organisations that have rendered selfless services to humanity and contributed in positive ways to the social transformation of the society. Grace Ibironke Ojo’s contribution to the society, as well as her passion to alleviate the sufferings of orphans and vulnerable children, made her a candidate for the prestigious Award. The brand is an affiliation of United Nation.
The award is in appreciation for her hard work geared towards helping the less privileged and empowering women in the society. The award also confers on her the title of an Ambassador.
Speaking on the award, Ms Ojo said she was humbled at being recognised by the organisers whilst promising to up her ante in the coming year.
“I never expected to be honoured this way and I give all glory to God who sustains and strengthens me. We will continue to do our part in alleviating the sufferings of the less privileged and women of the society. It is our vision and we will go all out to make sure we extend our reach to as many people as we can. I really appreciate the organisers for this honour”, said Ojo.
This year’s ceremony, which was anchored by Joseph Benjamin of MTN Project Fame at Transcorp Hotel, Abuja, had notable Nigerians as awardees like the First Lady of Gombe State, Hajia Adama Dankwambo, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Gen PT Boroh, Susan West, Comrade Timi Frank, Segun Arinze, Halima Abubakar, Studio 24, among many others.
