if you are one of those who are guilty of calling the mixture of milk and milo/bournvita/ any other coco brand Tea, I forgive you because am about to enlighten you with this awesome hot chocolate recipe. Coco is not tea, tea is a hot mixture made by infusing crushed leaves into boiling water but coco or Hot choco is made from infuing coc into cold or hot water. I absolutely love chocolate in whatever form but I’ve never really enjoyed the hot one probably because I had it but you can serve me cold chocolate any day anytime and I might love you forever.


Here are some hot chocolate recipes that I think are doable;

3 tablespoons processed cocoa powder
1/3 cup white chocolate chips
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
12 ounces evaporated milk
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 1/2 cups ice

Whipped cream to taste.

Combine sugar, butter and cocoa mix in the top of a double boiler that is set over a lightly boiling water. Stir until the ingredients melt together to create a smooth paste.

Then add the white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir once they start melting slowly stir in 1/2 cup of evaaporated milk, stir till it becomes smooth.

Cool this mixture to room temperature and then using a ice blender blend it with the left over eveporated milk until it becomes smooth. Pour into a glass cup and add whipped cream on top, you can also throw in some left over chips or some mint leave for a design anyhow you want it.
