Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, took to his Facebook page last night to appreciate his family members and his friends for standing by him since his faceoff with the Nigerian police.
Recall that the Inspector General of Police, Baba Alkali ordered his arrest on May 13, after a Update of him slapping and pushing a police officer on Third Mainland Bridge surfaced online.
The Eagle Online earlier reported that the Afrobeat singer, was released on Tuesday night, on bail from Police detention, seven days after he reported himself on May 15, at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, over the assault allegation against him.
Following his release, Seun took to his Facebook page to thank all those who stood by him.
According to Seun, he owes them his freedom and sanity.
