‘I Want To Work With Jose Mourinho Again’- Chelsea Star Willian

Willian has revealed he remains in contact with Jose Mourinho and hopes to work with his former manager again in the future.

The Chelsea forward has been the subject of interest from both Manchester United and Barcelona this summer.

The Catalans made three bids in an effort to prise the Brazilian away from Stamford Bridge before ultimately turning their attention to his compatriot Malcolm, who joined Barcelona in a £37.3m deal last month.

Speaking after Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in Sunday’s Community Shield, Willian said: “I’ve always made it very clear that I’ve always been very happy .ing for Chelsea. I never said that I want to leave the club.”

But the 29-year-old has admitted he fancies a reunion with Mourinho at some stage.

“Mourinho is the best manager I’ve ever worked with. We have a good relationship, we are friends,” Willian told ESPN Brazil.

“Sometimes we talk, we text, we send messages to each other via WhatsApp. He is a great manager, I really enjoyed working with him. I hope I can work with him again someday.”

Willian scored six goals and provided seven assists in 36 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season.

Premier League!! Man United vs Leicester City On Friday, @ 8:00pm (Predict & Win ₦5,000 Now)

Manchester United kick off the 2018-19 Premier League season as Leicester City travel to Old Trafford on Friday night.

Jose Mourinho has cut a frustrated figure in pre-season as United’s transfer business stalled following the World Cup, and the Red Devils were unimpressive on tour (a 2-1 win over Real Madrid aside).

The Portuguese coach has been tasked with bringing back the glory days to the red half of Manchester, but Claude Puel’s Leicester – who have won the title since United’s last success in 2013 – will want to ensure Mourinho’s season begins with a whimper at Old Trafford.

Team News

Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford and Phil Jones have all cut their holidays short and returned to training ahead of schedule following the World Cup, but Rashford is the only likely starter among them after leading the line against Bayern Munich.

Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Marouane Fellaini, Ashley Young are also unlikely to be available after World Cup holidays.

Leicester are also set to be without Nampalys Mendy, Demarai Gray and Jonny Evans, while Matthew James is out. However, new signing Rachid Ghezzal should be available for the Foxes.

Man United likely starting XI:

De Gea; Darmian, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw; Herrera, Fred, A. Pereira; Mata, Rashford, Alexis

Leicester City likely starting XI:

Schmeichel, Chilwell, Morgan, Benalouane, Ndidi, Iborra, Pereira, Maddison, Albrighton, Iheanacho

Chelsea are already completing the signing of Real Madrid midfielder, Mateo Kovacic on a season-long loan.

The Croatian international has already expressed his desire to leave Madrid this summer as he is unhappy with the amount of .ing time he had been given since he joined from Inter in a £22.5 million deal three years ago.

However, Real Madrid have been unwilling to sell and have attempted to convince the midfielder to remain at the club under new manager, Julen Lopetegui.

Spanish newspaper, Marca reports that Real Madrid have now given up with their efforts to keep Kovacic and the Croatia international is now on the verge of joining Chelsea.

The newspaper also claimed that Chelsea have reached an agreement with the .er and the deal will be announced at some point on Tuesday.

Kovacic helped force his move away from Real Madrid by refusing to continue with pre-season training until he was sure of his future outside the club.

The midfielder returned from his World Cup holiday on Monday and is currently training with Real Madrid’s youth team.

Before now, Kovacic had also been linked with a move to Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham.

Manchester City Goalkeeper “Hart” Off To Burnley

Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart has signed for Burnley from Manchester City, with City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak hailing his enormous contribution to the success of the Premier League champions.

The 31-year-old, who failed to make the England squad for the World Cup, has signed a two-year contract with Burnley for an undisclosed fee, the club said on Tuesday.

The arrival of Hart strengthens Burnley’s impressive goalkeeping ranks following a dislocated shoulder sustained by Nick Pope at Aberdeen that will keep him on the sidelines for a time.

Hart will be competing with Tom Heaton and Anders Lindegaard for a starting spot under manager Sean Dyche, with a Europa League qualifier looming against Istanbul Basaksehir on Thursday and a Premier League match with Southampton on Sunday.

Both Pope and Heaton are also England internationals.

Hart was at City for 12 years but Pep Guardiola made clear he would no longer be number one when we took over in 2016.

Man City Boss “Al Mubarak” has this to say:-

“Joe Hart’s contribution to Manchester City cannot be overstated,” Al Mubarak said in a statement on Manchester City’s website.

“His 12 years at the club has seen him produce some remarkable performances and heart-stopping saves that will live in the memory for a long time to come.

“His passion for and commitment to this club, evidenced by a remarkable tally of 348 appearances, means he will rightly be regarded as a City legend in perpetuity.”

Hart joined City in 2006 from Shrewsbury for a fee of just £600,000 ($778,000) after catching the eye of then-goalkeeping coach Tim Flowers.

The goalkeeper, who won the first of his 75 England caps in 2008, was a pivotal member of the City sides that won Premier League titles in 2012 and 2014.
