Actor and Lagos State House of Assembly lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency Desmond Elliot has weighed in on the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS in the State as the House begins debate on the protests.
Desmond Elliot who has stayed quiet on social media on the topic agreed with the Deputy Speaker Hon. Eshinloku Sanni , noting that SARS officials lack the training to deal with people ion a civil manner.
According to him, SARS has gone beyond reforms and of the people want to it end, it should be ended. “If the unit we set up is not working for the people, and the people are calling for it to be disbanded, then let us do what they’re saying because the truth is we can’t just molest people because of the hair they wear or they are carrying laptops”, he motioned.

“That is not to say we do not have bad people but yes, because of the lack of training on how to deal civilly with people, we have now come to what SARS is doing. So I totally am in alignment of the prayers of the Deputy Speaker and I feel we should do that”, Desmond Elliot said.
