“As you go into retirement, I urge you to bring the lessons of the years past to bear on your future activities. It is to your credit that access to justice has improved in Nigeria with the creation of additional Courts of Appeal,” Okowa said.

Bulkachuwa was forced to withdraw from the appeal of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2020 elections, Atiku Abubakar after him and his party said she might be partial in judging the case because her husband is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.
