The actress, known for her vocal nature, received an assessment notice from the Lagos State government demanding that she pay a total sum of N18,640,092.00 within seven days or face arrest.
The assessment notice stated that Iyabo Ojo had a tax liability of N7,376,000.00 for the year 2022, with an additional outstanding liability of N11,264,092 for the 2021 income year.
The actress was given a 7-day ultimatum to settle the payment, or face the consequences.
In response to the demand, Iyabo Ojo took to her Instagram page to express her displeasure with the government’s approach and the exorbitant amount requested.
She revealed that she had previously filed a complaint regarding the tax issue, but no action was taken.
In her lengthy Instagram post, the actress vehemently refused to pay the requested amount and boldly challenged Governor Sanwo-Olu.
