On the heels of the arrest of the Bayelsa kidnapper, John Lyon, popular Nollywood actor and producer, Imeh Bishop, popularly known as Okon Lagos has said that family members and friends who enjoy the generosity of people with questionable financial incomes not querying the source should be held as enablers of crime.
The comedian stated this following the arrest of notorious kidnap kingpin, John Ewa aka John Lyon, but popularly known as ‘Lion’.
It was earlier reported that Lyon was arrested in Abuja by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
Following the arrest of John Lyon, Okon Lagos via his Instagram page, called out persons who enjoy the largesse from people who acquire sudden wealth and do not question it, saying they too are enablers of crime and should face the law.
He wrote; ”Who is an enabler of crime? A person who sells service to a criminal? Absolutely not! Except if the service sold is used directly to facilitate crime. There is no link between the sales of humor and kidnapping. A friend, acquaintance, family or anyone who enjoys the “generosity” and largesse from unverified and questionable financial source, without any intention or attempt to ask question to know, in order to either dissociate from, expose or presecribe correctness, such a persons is both an enabler and a TIFF”
