The Kano State Government led by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has dethroned the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.
This was disclosed on Twitter by the Director-General, Media and Communications, Kano State Government, Salihu Yakasai.
“The Kano State Executive Council has unanimously approved the dethronement of the Emir of Kamo Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II at a special sitting held today by the council,” he tweeted.
Sanusi, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, ascended the throne in 2014 by succeeding his granduncle Ado Bayero. Sanusi’s grandfather Muhammadu Sanusi I reigned from 1953 to 1963 and was deposed by Premier Ahmadu Bello.

Confi Chisom Chiedozie who wanted to remove his friend from his Facebook friends list revealed that the process made him dicover that the friend he thought had been ignoring him had died.
