FG receives medical supplies from ECOWAS, WAHO, and German Foreign Office

The federal government has received medical supplies donated by the West African Health Organisations (WAHO), the Economic of West African Stets (ECOWAS), and the German foreign office.

The donors presented the supplies as part of their support to the Nigerian Government for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Expressing appreciation for the donations, NCDC Director-General, Chikwe Ihekweazu said this was a big difference in the COVID-19 response as compared to the 2014 Ebola outbreak.

While stating that it has led to an increased collaboration of Regional Health Institutions, as demonstrated by the support from WAHO, the NCDC boss assured the donors that the materials received will be put into good use.
