Rapper Missy Elliot has been slammed with a lawsuit for failing to promote her own concert in Brazil.

According to the organizers, Missy Elliott was billed to perform 2 concerts in Brazil but she failed to promote the concerts.

The rapper reportedly missed a scheduled national TV appearance on Brazil’s Rede Globo which was meant to push the concerts and amplify ticket sales.

According to legal documents, Missy was supposed to appear in November 2012 to push two shows set to go down later that month in Rio and Porto Alegre but didn’t show.

The promoter, Jean Faustin, who booked Missy for the concerts, said her no-show adversely affected ticket sales so he had to cancel the gigs.

He further revealed he paid an advance of $75,000 and wants the money back with interest.
