My Dad Spoilt Me, I Became Toxic – RhonkeFella Shares Experience

Nigerian style influencer Ronke Enoabasi Adefalujo, popularly known as RhonkeFella has opened up on how she became toxic without respecting anyone’s wishes and always wanting to have things her own way.
RhonkeFella said this in response to Terrel Thompson’s post on Facebook which reads, “ATTENTION to all SPOILED women… U can’t have your WAY all the TIME”.Taking to her Instagram story to react, RhonkeFella narrated how she used to get all she wanted from her Dad and he never told her no. He so shaped her mind with the thought that she can have everything she wants and growing with this mentality, she became manipulative and controlling. She added that her mom, on the other hand, would scold and say No to her many times and she would have to turn to her Dad again for her Yes.

“It is the spoiled women for me, awon omo oni baje. I’m sitting on this table Is my daddy that caused it From small he always let me have my way So as an adult if I don’t, feels like I have failed So I would do anything to get it Or fight. Stupid old me But now I know better It’s toxic to be controlling. When people/someone say no I respect it, whether is sits right with me or not I don’t own anyone. Don’t be like this even in ure relationship (s)”, she wrote.
Moving the conversation to raising children, RhonkeFella asked parents not to give in to their wards tantrums as it will only make them manipulative. “Sometimes when ur kids throw tantrums, if you don’t wanna give them don’t give them. Even if they throw tantrums Once you succumb, they might grow to become manipulative Cos they will always cry or throw tantrums to get it”, she said.

“My dad hardly said No So I grew up believing I should own it all Thank God for my mum Who heats me sometimes And says No But when I turn to daddy it’s always a yes even when I don’t need it. That was how I developed my former habit of not respecting when someone say NO I will be like why”, she added.
