The newly appointed Presidential Campaign Director of Strategic Communication in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ayobami Dele Momodu, Publisher of Ovation Media Group, yesterday, urged Nigerian youths not to be despair or lose hope in the nation, saying the PDP’s presidential candidate for 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, would win the presidential poll.
“In Atiku is a story of hope from our current slope as a nation. And I urge our youths and all Nigerians not to give up on the country. Together we can accomplish the rescue mission of our dear country,” he assured.
Momodu, an international journalist and celebrity publicist, extolled the virtues of Atiku, the Waziri Adamawa, as a rag-to-riches tale of endurance and perseverance, from which younger generations of Nigerians should derive a sense of hope and belief in better days coming ahead.
“His Excellency Atiku Abubakar is a son of nobody who, by dint of hard work and resilience, today becomes somebody not only in Nigeria but also globally. Atiku’s story of an erstwhile shepherd boy turned a national head boy is significant for all struggling compatriots to emulate,” Momodu said.
Momodu, who resumed work yesterday, at the Atiku-Okowa 2023 Presidential Campaign Office in Wuse 2 Abuja, motivated a cross session of youths and adults in a jam-packed hall, where Dr. Ahmed Adamu organised a public reading and quiz competition on the biography of the former Vice President, titled: The Atiku Abubakar Story.
The book and a couple of others, were publicly presented on September 28, an event which coincided with the inauguration of PDP Presidential Campaign Council, at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
Meanwhile, Momodu was among over a dozen presidential aspirants, who contested the PDP primaries with the eventual winner, Atiku.
“I will continue to appeal to everyone who took part in the last intra-party election in June to please shift to front gear and drive our candidate, Atiku to victory so that we can jointly rescue Nigerians from the throes of bad governance, hunger, insecurity, university closure, mass unemployment and hopelessness.
“Let’s back a man who treasures equity, unity and invests in education, business and security. That man is Atiku Abubakar. He’s worthy and ready to lead Nigeria to the bay of good hope next year,” Momodu added.
