NFF President, Amaju Pinnick Elected Into FIFA Council
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has been elected into the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) Council.
He was elected on Friday in Rabat, Morocco during the 43rd CAF ordinary general assembly and he will be serving the next four year at the world football’s governing body.
In order to get elected, he defeated Malawi’s Walter Nyamilandu, the incumbent, after he got 43 votes as against eight by his opponent
He is also a member of CAF’s Executive Committee and the Fifth Vice-President. He becomes the third Nigerian to be elected into the FIFA highest decision-making body, after the late Orok Oyo and Amos Adamu.
