Exciting times and Nigerian representation at NYFW (New York Fashion Week)!
For NYFW, Maybelline New York Nigeria’s artistic director Bimpe Onakoya is set to create runway looks for New York based luxury fashion brand Laquan Smith. Onakoya made her NYFW debut four years ago creating looks and working on top models including Jourdan Dunn, Alex Wek and brands including DKNY, Jason Wu, Philipp Plein and more.
For the first time in the four years she has attended the annual fashion even, she will be headlining and creating looks for Laquan Smith who has created pieces for Beyonce and Kim Kardashian.
Award winning Bimpe Onakoya will be joined by her Ghanaian counterpart Sandra Don-Authur. Bimpe Onakoya is the creative director for Maybelline New York Nigeria.
Onakoya got global recognition when she joined other creative directors worldwide for Maybelline’s 100th anniversary where she recreated a 1950’s Bombshell Glamour Look on famous American model; Jasmine Sanders.
