There was an explosion in Ogbese, Akure, the Ondo State capital this morning that left over 100 residential buildings, school, churches destroyed,.
The explosion suspected to be bomb blast occurred in the early hours of Saturday cut off the ever-busy Akure/Owo road, leaving many people injured.
Many residents of Eleyowo community were also affected by the explosion which occurred less than a kilometre to Akure Airport, destroying completely a church and a school in the area.

The school with boarding facilities was destroyed beyond repair with roofs of all the buildings blown off.
The spot at which the bomb or blast happened cut off the road, hindering vehicular movement.
