Big Brother, the vocal director and owner of the Big Brother Naija house has revealed the two wild cards in the Shine Ya Eye house and surprisingly but not surprisingly, Pere and Maria are the ones.

Recall that Big Brother had told the Housemates of the 6th edition of the show that there were two wild cards in the House (fake housemates). For the first week, their job is to fish out who they are, which will led to their eviction. If they, however, cannot, the duo would continue to become real Housemates. $\"BBNaija:$

Big Brother revealed their identities today during their diary session, each surprised about the other. Apparently, each of them had though he or she is the only wildcard until Big Brother announced they were two on Sunday, taking both of them by surprise.
Confirming their status today as said by Ebuka, Big Brother asked Maria and Pere how they felt about discovering the existence of another wild card asides themselves. They also got a chance to guess who the other wild card could be.

For Maria, it has not been easy as she explained, saying she is not a good actress. She, however, said it was all about actively participating in the Task and making sure her voice is heard. “Biggie, I will not lie, it has not been easy. I keep lying and honestly it’s difficult. I think I’m doing a good job even though its fifty-fifty chance that they won’t find out I’m one of the wild cards. I was shocked when you announced there was another wild card. I thought they knew me but I just said to my self if I don’t know them then they don’t know me”, she said. $\"BBNaija:$ Pere on the other hand, seems to be finding it easy covering his track. Right from his bromance with the rest of the guys to casually having conversations with the rest of the Housemates and even on course to building a romantic alliance with Jackie B, he had his cover well secured.

Meanwhile, Big Brother further gave one of the Housemates, Emmanuel, a confusing hint about whom the wildcards are. During the diary sessions, Big Brother exclusively hinted him that the wild cards will follow each other closely for their sessions. How possibly could he guess as all housemates are invited one after another for the sessions. $\"\"$

Chess master, Tunde Onakoya gets new appointment

Guinness World Record contester for the longest Chess Marathon in history, Tunde Onakoya has been appointed as Sports Ambassador in Ogun State.

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun revealed this on Thursday when Onakoya visited his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He said, “I can see why you continue to be inspiration to many young people across the length and breath of this country. You have gone further by establishing a foundation called the ‘Chess in Slums Africa’ because you are determined to tell your story and encourage other children and get them out of the slums and give them hope and future.

“Today, we will be officially appointing you as our State Sports Ambassador. Coincidentally, Ogun State will be hosting the National Sports Festival in the next nine months or thereabouts and we are boasting that we are set to host the best National Sports Festival that has never been held in the history of this country and coincidentally, chess is one of the games that will feature in that event.

“I have decided that because of you and in your honour, we will begin an Ogun State Chess Competition across the length and breath of the state. Since you are now officially our Sports Ambassador and our Chess Ambassador, we will leave it to you to design that competition from the local government all the way to the state level.

“But we as your state, we will have a sponsor in the Tunde Onakoya Prize, for the winner of that competition.”

Nigerian Music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has said the “boxing” of all African artistes into the Afrobeats genre regardless of their musical styles does not offend him as a person.

Davido, who made this known during an appearance on the American podcast, Business Untitled, also described the kind of music he does as Afrofusion.

He said, “The first place that accepted African music outside Africa is the UK before America later joined. The UK termed African music Afrobeats.

“Afrobeat is a sound that was originally pioneered by Fela Kuti. But now all African songs are termed Afrobeats.

“If an African artiste sings pure R&B, sounding like SZA, Summerwalker, they put them under Afrobeats. If an African rapper rapping like Drake, they still put them under Afrobeats.

“I don’t get offended when we’ve been categorised as Afrobeats. I mean, we need a genre. It could be R&B or Afropop.

“I call my music Afrofusion but I’m not big on ‘O put Afrofusion on my song.’ I know how long it took for African music to become mainstream.”

However, he emphasized that his father has been a supportive figure throughout his journey, even helping him pick his music albums.

According Davido, his father’s main priority was for him to complete his education, which Davido eventually did.
