Portable reburies mother after 10 years, explains why

Nigerian street-pop artist, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable, has opened up on a deeply personal experience regarding his mother’s interment.

In an interview with DJ Brooke Bailey, the singer took the show host to the location where his mother was initially buried, before making the decision to exhume her body and relocate it to a new site.

At just 13 years old, Portable had already lost his mother and faced the challenges of growing up with a struggling father.

The decision to relocate his mother’s remains stemmed from a heartbreaking discovery. When Portable was requested to visit his mother’s gravesite to offer prayers, he found out that his mother’s family had sold the land where she was buried.

Portable then made the difficult choice to exhume her remains and reinter her at his new mansion currently under construction in Sango-Otta, his hometown.

I Didn’t Issue Any Statement On Mohbad —Elegushi Monarch

The Elegushi of the Ikate-Elegushi kingdom, Saheed Elegushi, has dismissed what he described as “falsehood promoted by some persons on the social media app TikTok ” about the death of a Nigerian artiste, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, otherwise known as Mohbad.

The Elegushi in a statement by the Lead Partner at Lambert and Curtis, Deyemi Saka said: “The widely syndicated falsehood was promoted by some persons with the under listed profile on the social media app TikTok namely: Oloriebimusicproduction2, PEKINS RULES, and WESTO4LIVE. Also the same falsehood is being promoted by: Auto Success Ola, Olubukola Jesse, Teni omo Ologo and Tolani Ilesanmi.

“First of all, this is to inform the public that the allegation is false and a figment of the wicked imaginations of these persons. Second of all, HRM Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi through his lawyers have filed a petition against these persons with the Nigeria Police and other relevant security agencies in a bid to enforce his fundamental human rights and protect him from cyber bullies while he is hopeful the Nigeria Police will collaborate with relevant international security organisations in this quest for redress.

“Third of all, it must be stated emphatically that Oba Elegushi, just as many Nigerians, is saddened by the sudden demise of Mohbad, demanded for a thorough investigation and a quick dispensation of justice. While we pray to almighty God to grant the Alobas the immense strength to bear this painful loss we urge people to refrain from dragging the integrity of His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Elegushi and the revered traditional institution he represents into public disrepute.”

The captain of the boat in which Nollywood actor, John Paul Odonwodo, better known as Junior Pope, and other actors had an accident and died has told his version of the story of what occurred on Anam River in Anambra State.

Tunde Onakoya reaches 58-hour mark, breaks Guinness World Record for longest chess marathon

Renowned chess master and child education advocate Tunde Onakoya has made history by breaking the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest chess marathon.

Onakoya achieved the feat in the early hours of Saturday, April 20, after hitting the 58-hour mark, surpassing the previous record of 56 hours, 9 minutes, and 37 seconds set by two Norwegians, Hallvard Haug Flatebø and Sjur Ferkingstad, on November 11, 2018.

Sharing on X a photo with the record broken inscribed on it, the chess master revealed a plan to continue playing for more hours without losing a single game.
