Update : Tinubu Returns After 12 Days In London
Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has returned to Nigeria.
Tinubu, who left the country on September 24, returned on Thursday.
The last time he was seen attending a public event physically was on September 22, when he met with members of the Pentecostal bishops’ forum in Abuja.

During his time away, there had been concerns over his whereabouts, especially after he missed the signing of the peace accord for the 2023 elections.
Joe Biden ends arrests for use or possession of marijuana
President of United States of America Joe Biden has announced steps to end arresting people for using or possessing marijuana .
Naija News NG reports that Joe Biden in a thread on Twitter said he is pardoning all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession.

As I’ve said before, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana.
Today, I’m taking steps to end our failed approach. Allow me to lay them out.
First: I’m pardoning all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession. There are thousands of people who were previously convicted of simple possession who may be denied employment, housing, or educational opportunities as a result. My pardon will remove this burden.
Second: I’m calling on governors to pardon simple state marijuana possession offenses. Just as no one should be in a federal prison solely for possessing marijuana, no one should be in a local jail or state prison for that reason, either.
Third: We classify marijuana at the same level as heroin – and more serious than fentanyl. It makes no sense. I’m asking @SecBecerra and the Attorney General to initiate the process of reviewing how marijuana is scheduled under federal law.
I’d also like to note that as federal and state regulations change, we still need important limitations on trafficking, marketing, and underage sales of marijuana.
Sending people to jail for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives – for conduct that is legal in many states. That’s before you address the clear racial disparities around prosecution and conviction. Today, we begin to right these wrongs.

Bandits Kill 10 Teachers , Abduct 50 Others In Kaduna State
Kaduna State chapter of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) revealed that 10 teachers were killed by bandits and 50 others abducted.
Naija News NG reports ASUU Kaduna State chapter Chairman Ishaya Dauda revealed this and advised Governor Nasir El Rufai to ensure that all teachers and other victims still in captivity in different camps in the State are released.
Briefing newsmen in Kaduna on Wednesday, as part of activities to commemorate the 2022 World Teachers’ Day with the theme, “The Transformation of Education Begins with Teachers”, he lamented that “more than 10 secondary school teachers were killed and over 50 others abducted from January till date in Kaduna and the abducted teachers are still in captivity.”

According to him, the union is fully aware of the insecurity that is threatening the corporate existence of Kaduna State citizens, especially in the schools, urging the State government to take proactive actions towards bringing the menace to an end.

WITCHCRAFT ALLEGATION : See Why Mercy Aigbe’s Sister Burnt Her Mother’s House
Mercy Aigbe’s sister has burnt down their mother’s house over alleged witchcraft.
Naija News NG reports that a lady simply known as Dr Patience or Dr Pat, the older sister to Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has taken her anger against her mother to the extreme by burning down the house she lives in.
According to reports, Dr Patience accussed their mother of being a witch and using her witchcraft activity against her to the advantage of her other popular daughter, Mercy.
She also accused the old woman of refusing to help her pay up an N800,000 loan she had taken and needed to pay up.
Dr Pat allegedly set the house located at Adebayo Mokuolu street, opposite Anthony Village Recreation Centre in Lagos, on fire, badly destroying it as nothing could be salvaged.
According to those living around the neighborhood, the house belongs to their mother’s late husband, who the old woman had only one child for, a son.
She was living in the mini duplex given to her son, that is, Dr Pat’s half-brother, by his father.

The building is detached from the main building which is in front and where other flats are located.
The other flats which belong to the other children of the late man from his previous marriage, were luckily not affected by the fire.
It took the intervention of residents in the area to get fire fighters to the house to quench the fire,so it doesn’t spread to other houses, especially the school near the house.
