Royce da 5’9″ lashes out at Dave Mays for disrespecting Eminem.
Royce da 5’9″ recently took part in a conversation on ClubHouse with Page Kennedy, Just Blaze, King Los, Punch, Mouse, and Dave Mays, where he lost his patience with the founder of The Source Magazine (Dave Mays) for disrespecting Eminem. In the show, Dave Mays tried to discrediting Eminem’s place in hip-hop by mentioning that the Detroit Rapper’s tape “Foolish Pride” promotes latent racism.
King Los and Glasses Malone talked about Eminem’s impact on the hip-hop culture, which Mays dismissed by saying, “he can say what he want to say“.
Royce da 5’9″: You can say what you want to say but that don’t mean it’s going to hold no merit, It don’t mean you dictate nothing.
Dave Mays: I’m going to say my piece, and you can either f**k with me or not. Muthaf**kas been f**king with me for thirty, forty years because of the shit I’ve done and said, and how I am.
Then some people in the conversation claimed that Dave Mays and Eminem are “the same muthaf**ka.”
Dave Mays: We are not the same.
Royce da 5’9″: You got that right bro, You are not the same (prompting laugh from the group).
Dave Mays: I don’t have none of that in my history. As far as f**king with the streets, f**king with authenticity in hip-hop, it’s documented.
This has Royce snaps at Benzino’s friend and kicks him from the conversation.
Royce da 5’9″: Man, you f**k with Benzino. You don’t f**k with authenticity. I’ma kick your a** to the crowd. You f**k with cornballs. Enough of Dave Mays. Fuck out of here, muthaf**ker. F**k he talking to, I’ll put death on your doorstep. I’m not divided, I’m not one with Dave Mays. Let’s get this sh*t straight. Ya’ll n***as in here acting like this ni**a at the cookout.
