Shalom Brune-Franklin is an English-Australian actress that everyone is raving about because of her brains, beauty, skills and charm.
Shalom Brune-Franklin was born in St Albans in England to a Mauritian mother, Ingrid Brune and Thai-English father, Phillip Franklin.
As a teenager, she dreamed of becoming an athlete and competing in the 800m at the 2012 Olympics.
When Brune-Franklin was 14, she moved with her parents and her younger brother, Siam, to Mullaloo in Australia. She holds dual British-Austalian citizenship.
During her studies at Ocean Reef Senior High School, Brune-Franklin took up drama class then went on to win the school’s drama award for high achievement.
While at high school in Perth, she set her sights on becoming a journalist until fate intervened again.
Brune-Franklin enrolled to study journalism at the Edith Cowan University. An administrative error meant she was wrongly classed as an overseas student at her chosen university, landing her with fees she couldn’t afford.
She also played the role of Bindy in Channel Nine Australia’s TV Series Bad Mothers, and Igraine/Morgana in the first season of the Netflix series Cursed (2020).
Shalom is famous for playing Private Maisie Richards in the BBC series Our Girl, Umm Khulthum in The State and Aoife in the Australian series Doctor Doctor. She got rave reviews for her as DC Chloe Bishop in all seven episodes of the BBC One Line of Duty, series six (2021). Photo Credit: Getty
