Stretch marks should probably be called stress marks because of all the drama they cause women worldwide. Almost every woman has stretch marks in one area or the other, and many women try treatment after treatment to get rid of them to no avail.
Why do we even get stretch marks in the first place? They appear when skin is overstretched especially around the armpits, thighs, hips, abdomen and chest among others. However, they’re really nothing to worry about.
Here are three reasons why you shouldn’t worry about stretch marks:
They’re not harmful
The marks aren’t pretty to look at, but that’s about all there is to them. They are not dangerous or harmful to your health so there’s really no need to get agitated about them.
They show that you’re human
Stretch marks are a sign of expanding skin, which is a sign of growth. Since you’re a human being and not a mannequin, it’s really okay to have marks here and there. Anyone who is making you feel bad about them should keep quiet, tell them we said so.

They’re not really treatable
The marks can fade, but they never disappear completely. You can use all the creams in the world but you can’t really get rid of them. So what’s the point of worrying about something you can’t change?
