In other news, a Nigerian man was bemused after his landlord increased his rent, days after he lamented about how rooms in Lagos are overly priced in a post on social media.
The man identified as Olumide GlowVille said he had made a post targeted at Lagos landlords a few days ago only to be ‘slapped’ with the very thing he finds gravely inconvenient.
In the letter he shared on Facebook, which was communicated by his landlord’s lawyers, Olumide was being notified that his 2 bedroom flat rent had increased from N450,000 to N550,000.
The young man said he finds this new development outrageous. He attached a copy of the letter to his post and wrote; “I made a post about Landlords this week and I got this memo from my Landlord tonight. “This is too outrageous to get me angry. I’d rather laugh about it. “Canada ti ya o.”
