Folorunsho Alakija, once the richest black woman on Earth, was born on July 15, 1951, in Ikorodu, Lagos State to the family of Chief L.A. Ogbara. She traveled to the United Kingdom at age seven for her primary school education at Dinorben School for Girls in Hafodunos Hall in Llangernyw, Wale. She studied secretarial studies at Pitman’s Central College, London. Afterward, she also attended the American College, London, and the Central School of Fashion to study fashion design.
She owns a Bombardier Global Express XRS, one of the most exclusive and deluxe jets in Africa. Folorunsho Alakija loves luxury cars, she owns a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon valued at N20million among other cars. She also travels in her Bombardier Global Express XRS worths around 46 million dollars (~₦16.7 billion).
