Fashion season is one that never fails to usher in anticipation and excitement throughout the industry. Each season, each Nigerian fashion designer brings the best of their creativity to the runway to share their talent with the world.
This season, Nigerian fashion designer Tiffany Amber celebrates 20 years of exceptional design. The iconic heritage luxury brand kicks off celebrations in partnership with French luxury cosmetics house, Lancôme and one of Africa’s most luxurious concept stores ALARA. Together they are presenting a breathtaking SS19 collection titled ‘Made In Africa…Made For Now’ against the beautiful backdrop of the ALARA store. Lancôme’s partnership with Tiffany Amber has further reinforced its global makeup leadership status.

Made In Africa…Made For Now
According to the head creative director, Folake Akindele Coker; “the collection is made for bold women with a deep sense of self. Women who are not afraid to experiment with culture. She exudes a new type of effortless chic, and elegance that is made in Africa and for now“.
The collection was first presented in Paris at the Paris Fashion Week in September 2018 where it received rave reviews from Vogue International Editor, Suzy Menkes, amongst others.

It has been quite a year for this Nigerian fashion designer. Tiffany Amber started off her year with becoming the first Nigerian brand chosen as an ambassador of Luxury Connect Africa. It then exhibited at the launch of its maiden African Luxury Exhibition in Paris in January 2018. Then, Tiffany Amber had a successful presentation of her AW2019 collection at ARISE fashion Week headlined by supermodel, Naomi Campbell. And most recently, the brand opened a state-of-the-art boutique in Victoria Island, Lagos for its diffusion line, TAN by Tiffany Amber.

The TAN brand aims to be an accessible brand to girls and women across Africa while carrying on the heritage of anchor brand, Tiffany Amber. It mixes modern designs and culture with the creativity of our fast-growing continent by sourcing locally and partnering with indigenous African artisans to deliver authentic pieces. The vision for TAN is to exceed the continent of Africa and take its uniqueness to the world.
Ending on a high note, Folake Coker has been announced as a speaker at the 5th Annual Conde Nast International Luxury Conference in Cape Town. The announcement was made by Vogue International Editor, Suzy Menkes and will hold in April 2019. This year’s theme is ” The Nature of Luxury”.
Speaking on the achievements of her brand, Folake stated “this year has been a rollercoaster of greatness for Tiffany Amber. Every year, we keep reinventing ourselves in every way. This is not just to stand out to our very own beloved continent Africa. But to a wider audience across the world. On November 28th this year, Tiffany Amber would turn twenty (20). And we promise to continue to fly the Nigerian flag incredibly high to the rest of the world while we journey on to strengthening ourselves as an African Heritage Luxury Brand.”
