The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) says the 422 member-list released at the weekend is not conclusive bringing to rest agitation by some party stakeholders led by the powerful lobby of governors who alleged they were maginalised in the list by associates of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who drew up the list.
GWG reports that governors belonging to the party had complained of being marginalized in the constitution of the 422 member committee and that their nominees were mostly left out in favour of some unknown personalities.
It was learnt that the postponement of the inauguration of the council earlier scheduled for Monday to Wednesday was made to address the agitation of the governors and other stakeholders.
Mr Bayo Onanuga, Director, Media and Publicity of the council on Monday evening explained that the constitution of the committee was not finalsaid this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
He said the list contained only the directors, deputy directors, secretaries of directorates and other key stakeholders.
“Some of the nominees of our governors have emerged as part of the leadership, while others will soon emerge as members of the various directorates.
“No name is left out of the lists,” he said in a tone that was meant to soothe the agitation of the aggrieved over the list of those drawn up in the campaign council to install Tinubu as president. (NAN)
