Taking a daily dose of vitamin D could slash your risk of developing an acute respiratory infection (like a cold or a flu) . up to 50 percent. That’s because vitamin D increases the amount of antimicrobial peptides in your lungs. These natural antibiotics basically make your lungs infection-proof and keep you healthy.
