Genevieve Nnaji’s glow up has been a long time coming and we’re here for all of it!
From the first time Genevieve came to our screens in her first movie she’s been loved by everyone. We all remember how we wanted to be like her that we sometimes even tried to copy everything she did. It’s a big reason we’re all pretty obsessed with Genevieve Nnaji’s glow up.
Long before Genevieve became the style icon we all look up to now, she served a lot of LEWKS we’ve come to miss in Nollywood films. Granted, this picture was from the 2000s – that time with the tragic fashion trends. However, Genny took some good and bad fashion risks and even tried to launch a career in music in 2004. We’re so glad that era came and died with a swiftness!
Her style isn’t the only thing that grew over the years, Genevieve’s movie roles became significantly outstanding as she progressed in her career. Her first role was as small part as a reporter in Most Wanted in 1996 alongside other big stars like Liz Benson and Regina Askia. Subsequently, Genevieve went on to prove that big things can come from small beginnings too.
A few years after getting her big break, she teamed up with Omotola Jalde-Ekeinde to give us one of the most epic movies of all time, Blood Sisters in 2003.
Phew! She has truly come a long way but has gotten even better over time. From her record-breaking shaku shaku video that broke the internet to her flawless style.
Shortly after taking a break from Nollywood, she returned in 2016 not just as an actress but as a first-time producer in star Road To Yesterday. She returned looking as stunning and ageless as she was when we first fell in love with her – this is what happens to legendary, unproblematic queens!
Not long ago, she made her directorial debut with Lionheart that was so good Netflix purchased exclusive rights for their streaming site! On top of that, she also signed to United Talent Agency, one of the biggest talent firms in Hollywood.
We’re so privileged to witness her glow up because she continues to bless us with awesomeness from every era. From her style to her movies, Genevieve is clearly the definition of how a good glow up should be.
