Asides from being happy for the bride and groom at a wedding, many times we really just want to have small chops; a friend of mine said to me once “am not really interested in the food, am more interested in the small chops” I know you are wondering why she would be more interested in the small chops rather than the food, this is because small chops is a snack that she doesn’t get to make all the time, but she can always whip up some tasty jollof or fried rice.


Anyways the whole point of this tale is just to emphasize the fact that the snacks that make up the small chops palette is tasty. Today we would be learning how to prepare the Spring Roll. The spring roll is originally a Chinese recipe but as it turns out we here in Nigeria are loving it and we have off cause revamped the spring roll to fit our taste palette.

What you’ll need:

  • Non stick pan
  • Non stick Spoon
  • 50g minced beef
  • A handful green peas
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 small green bell pepper
  • 1 Stock cube
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • A small quantity of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon plain flour (all purpose flour)
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
