Nigerian striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, has revealed his conversation with Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, before his permanent move to Union Berlin.
According to Awoniyi, Klopp urged him to sign for the German club, as they showed a big interest in landing him.
Union Berlin paid a club-record transfer fee to acquire their top transfer target.
“He (Klopp) said it was a good thing because he felt like everyone at Union wanted to sign me at the club.

Awoniyi signed for Liverpool after helping Nigeria win the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
However, he never played a single competitive game for the Reds, going out on loan to seven different clubs in six years.
