Wike, PDP governors in closed-door meeting in Rivers — Lifestyle News



Six governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP)
on Friday night met with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike at the
Government House, Port Harcourt.

The meeting had in attendance: Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri, Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.

Others include; Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, Sokoto State Governor, Amimu Tambuwal and Zamfara State Governor, Mohammed Mattawale.

The Governors arrived the Rivers State Government House at about 6pm
and proceeded to the official residence of Governor Wike where they held
a closed- door meeting with the Rivers State Governor.

The agenda is still unknown as at press time.

Simeon Nwakaudu, Wike’s spokesman, who confirmed, also did not provide details.

Kogi Election: INEC suspends the announcement of results till November 18



The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended the announcement of governorship election results in Kogi state. notes that the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Ibrahim Umar, announced the postponement of the election results collation late on Sunday, November 17.

Professor Umar, who is the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna state, told party agents and other political stakeholders at INEC headquarters, venue of the announcement in Lokoja, the state capital, that the collation will continue at 9 am on Monday, November 18. reports that at the time of the suspension of the collation on Sunday, only five local governments were yet to be announced. Results from a total of 16 LGs had already been declared.
