A woman can get pregnant and have a baby as soon as she begins ovulating, or producing eggs. This typically occurs about a year after they first begin menstruating, which for some women, usually happens between the ages of 11 and 12. Some women start ovulating late, though, and others, extremely early. The early onset of menstruation is called “precocious puberty.”
In this article, I’d be talking about younger girls who started ovulating earlier than usual and as a result, were able to give birth earlier than most.
1. Lina Medina: This girl got pregnant before the age of 5 and gave birth at the age of 5 years and 7months. She is a Peruvian girl who became the youngest confirmed mother in history. She gave birth by cesarean section to a baby boy named Gerardo. Medina’s father was arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse, but was later released due to lack of evidence, and the baby’s biological father was never identified.
2. H.: Number 2 is an Indian girl on known as H. She was only 6years old and gave birth at the age of 6years and 7months. She also gave birth by cesarean section to a baby girl. She had never menstruated and her breasts were still far from being fully developed, yet she was able to breastfeed her child for 9 months.
3. Liza: Liza was just 5 years old when her 70-year-old maternal grandfather raped and impregnated her. She was 6years old when she gave birth using retractors. Her baby died at birth as a result of an early placental tear.
4. Mum-Zi and Zi: This happened right here in Nigeria in between 1884-1893. Mum-Zi was a member of Chief Akkiri’s harem on the island of Calabar. Zi, Her daughter also gave birth extremely early, making Mum-Zi a grandmother at age of 17. Zi, became a mother at the age of 8 years 8 months.
5. Griseldina Acuña: Griseldinawas impregnated by a family friend and gave birth at the age of 8 years and 2 months. She gave birth to a baby boy. She was reported to have begun menstruating at age 3.
Strange things really do happen in this world. I wonder what was going through the minds of Men that got this little girls pregnant.
