An update in the episode revealed that her husband, Mohamed Abdelhamed, cheated on her via text messages. Yve’s lawyer denied that she was arrested or that she was abusive to Mohamed.

It was reported that Yve, 48, was charged with battery and assault against a household member hours after the episode aired. On August 15, police approached her for alleged domestic violence. According to a police report, a hearing is scheduled for September 6.

Dominique Enchinton, Yve’s representative, stated that Mohammed “falsified” the allegations and that they were “just a ploy to keep him” in the United States. “On August 15 or any other day, Yve was not arrested,” Enchinton told newsmen. “Yve has never been abusive to Mohammed and simply wishes to close this chapter in her life so she can move on.”

Mohamed and Yve appeared to be a happy couple after a season of ups and downs for the majority of the tell-all episode. Mohamed moved from Egypt to New Mexico to marry Yve, where he gradually adapted to American culture. According to Entertainment Tonight, he learned to accept that Yve could dress however she pleased and that she would not convert to Islam.

In an unexpected update, that perfect picture came crashing down. According to leaked text messages, Mohamed is communicating with another woman. He admitted to talking to the woman he met online. He described her as “very nice,” and they began talking as “friends.” Mohamed claimed he asked the woman to stop texting him and told her he still loved her.

Social media users shared screenshots of the messages. In one, Mohamed tells the woman that he will “see an attorney as soon as I get the green card.” “I would just keep you in bed for days,” he says in one of the more flirtatious exchanges. “No, please be for real,” the woman said after Mohamed claimed he was joking.

“I texted these women and informed them that I was married. Please refrain from texting me.’” Mohamed told the cameras on TLC. “I know I made a mistake. I told my wife the same story and promised her it would never happen again. I adore Yve, and she does not deserve it.”

Yve told the cameras that she witnessed “inappropriate” photos and phone calls between her husband and the woman. “You know, it’s very shocking, raw, disappointing, and saddening,” she said. “He spent his time focused on starting other relationships, engaging in activity that a married man should not be engaging in.”
