Cornrows with Extensions/ Ghana Braids | Protective Hairstyle

I have relaxed, color-treated hair.

This is more of me \”showing\” you what I am doing instead of a \”tutorial\” because this was actually my first time ever braiding my hair with extentions. I know the finished results were not perfect but I think they were pretty good to be my first time. Everyone has different techniques of how they do cornrows/braids…this was mine. So I really don\’t need anyone telling me I did it wrong or what I should have done. Ghana braids start out small and increase in size as the braid goes on for a more natural look. That\’s why hair is added gradually instead of all at once at the beginning of the braid. I hope you guys enjoy.

Products used mentioned:
*Silky kanekalon hair
*Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel (to lay down fly-aways and have the braids looking neat)
*Hollywood Beauty Tea Tree Oil (to oil my scalp)
*African Pride Olive Miracle Braid Sheen Spray (to moisturize my braids)
*Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Sheen Spray (to add a final sheen)

After I was done, I braided the braids into one big braid and dipped it into hot water so that the braids would not become unraveled. I trimmed the ends. When I woke up the next morning, I took the braid down and the results were crinkles in my braids hanging in the back. This is an excellent protective style.
