After the truth was revealed many Nigerians have reacted to the scam story in a different way. Reverend Father Augustine Abiagom has also waded into the scam story. He took to his Facebook handle to share his views.
In a lengthy post, he wrote….
CONCERNING THE REPORT OF A SAD SCAM STORY .
Fr A. N. Abiagom, CM.
Your story was so touching that it moved the hearts of men and women of goodwill to show you love. Who would not be moved to seeing a hard working person with a physical challenge as yours?
Millions of naira rolled into your fund me account. Beautiful pictures of yours appeared few days after the ugly ones were seen. Life transformed within a twinkling of an eye for you. Some people did not waste time tapping into your grace. Alas! The table turned upside down as it is told your story was a scam. I feel sad it was!
You are not the worst sinner, just that you have been caught. Should people regret their help towards you? Some of course would regret and vow not to help others like you in the future even if their story is genuine. What could have led you to this scam game? Perhaps suffering and frustration. It was a wrong move to success you took my sister. But God forgives you. Ask also for society’s forgiveness, and you will be forgiven.
Let us not condemn this lady. Even if the report of her scam is nothing but the truth, she still needs help. The Lagos State government should still help her become better with the resources given to her if possible.

There is however, a lesson you and I could learn from her experience. When your lifting up comes from human beings, your position on top is not guaranteed because the same people could bring you down. Like in the case of the people who planned the scam with the lady of our concern. But when God lifts you up, your position is guaranteed because no man can bring you down.
Although our society today seems to be largely moved by lies; honesty still remains the best policy. We must seek for the lifting up that comes from God by working hard, remaining honest and patient.
Love.
