Afrobeats Superstar Seun Kuti is trending on social media after he walked out on the Lagos state governor Babajide SanwoOlu at his sister Yeni Kuti’s 60th birthday celebration. The governor was present at the birthday celebration held for Yeni the daughter of late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.

The singer was irritated by the presence of the governor and could not hide it so he angrily walked out on the governor. His siblings tried to the situation and hold the singer but he pulled out of their embrace and stormed off. He was later brought back to the venue by his elder brother, Femi Kuti, and also took pictures with the governor.

His sister Yeni Kuti has however explained the reason for her brother’s action stating that the security detail in the course of doing their duty pushed his wife. He got upset at them. She explained that his anger wasn’t directed at the governor.
